Using the practice of routine, the majority of new DJs can master basics in 3-6 months. Years of experience are necessary to become a master of DJing.

3. Can I use a laptop to DJ?  

Yes. The majority of DJs start with DJ software and a laptop. But controllers are more controllable and simpler to master.

4. How do I get my first DJ gig?  

Start by:
1-Practicing and recording DJ mixes to showcase your skill.   
2-Networking with house owners and event promoters.  
3-Volunteering to perform at house parties, open-mic nights, or intimate events.  

5. What type of music should I specialize in?

Up to you. But the more genres you know, the more versatile and higher your career opportunities will be.
